The bread and He have risen

Want to hear a beautiful version of psalm 118?
This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Alleluia.

we sang this today
Takes as you can see a couple minutes, but it accompanied with good easter images.

I was gifted a leg of lamb.
Do you like mint jelly on your lamb? I do. Tho when we had rack of lamb at a restaurant in Deerfield they used a wonderful mint reduction.
1/2 cup caberbet sauvignon
2 sliced shallots
2 cups stock
1 Tbsp chopped mint
2 Tbsp soft butter
salt and pepper
In a small pan, combine wine and shallots over high heat. Reduce by half. Pour in stock and continue reducing to 2/3 cup. Remove from heat and add the fresh mint. Let stand for 1/2 hour then strain, Bring back to a boil and whisk in the butter. Season with the salt and pepper to your taste. I'm already drooling.

Have you ever marinated a leg of lamb? What about cooking her outside? Do I grill or spit bake her in the pit? Wonder if it was a her or a him .... hmmmm
What about Caribbean Trindad Mustard Coating?
2 cups of Sharon's mommas mustard (other words hot hot mustard like a Dusseldorf)
3 Tbsp sweet sherry wine
1/4 cup Myers Rum
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tsp garlic crushed
I'll dip this and then dust with 2 cups breads crumbs mixed with 3 Tbsp rosemary.
mmmmm rosemary
thinking like me of homer?
did you see the simpson's are getting put on stamps?

Here are two bottles of wine for the holy vision. Holy Trinity and Daily Red.
Holy Trinity, I found at a wine tasting. It made my criteria of under 12dollars and red.
From Australia the Trinity is a union and a coming together as one, blend of three grapes: Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. The Barossa region of Australia is where the Burge family, along with their faith in Holy Trinity Church of Lyndoch came together as one to produce this Barossa red wine. I bought a case. Their are only 6 bottles in this case.
Daily Red is an organic 2007 Nevada County california red wine. aaaahhh no sulfites detectable is on the label. Detectable? Otherwords Not free. Why add sulfites is the next question. Is it for microbacterial or anti oxidation?
Detectable and todays communion? What in your world is detectable? Feeling the love. I'm sending it! Voodoo blogging here on the island.

wild blessingsThis is a NPR audio of Wendell Berry's poem that has been made into a play by actors theater in Louisville; from the mad farmer.

To be sane in a mad time,
is bad for the brain, worse
for the heart. The world
is a holy vision had we clarity
to see it; a clarity that men
depend on men to make.

sane in a mad time describes Ode to my itch from this poison ivy again and again. Is it true blueberry leaves work to relieve itch? Anybody? Donnadoyawanna get out the science book, what are in those leaves?
